(A tale of almost-terrible ideas that somehow turned out great)

Once upon a time, in a tiny office filled with cold coffee cups and questionable snacks, two friends tried to come up with a brilliant name for their new webshop.

They wanted something catchy. Something unique. Something unforgettable.

They absolutely failed.

After hours of brainstorming, all they had was one word that kept popping up:

“Kut.”

Not exactly poetic.

Not exactly elegant.

But… oddly honest.

In Dutch slang, kut basically means:

“something that isn’t great.”

Something annoying, chaotic, messy, imperfect —

kind of like every new idea before it becomes good.

So they played with the word.

They stretched it.

Twisted it.

Gave it a little Nordic spice because… why not?

And suddenly:

A name that sounds unusual, mysterious, maybe even a bit odd —

until you know the secret.

The webshop was born with one simple mission:

To turn all the “not-so-great” things in life into something awesome.

Whether it was boring products, dull gifts, or everyday items that nobody really cared about — køtspøl decided to give them personality, humor, and a tiny bit of chaos.
